• A third-generation entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for the ocean, Patterson is the driving force behind the Aqua Aura Project. Patterson’s journey began in his father’s machine shop, where he built his first bicycle before he could even ride it and later, as a teenager, meticulously assembled his first car – engine and all – from the ground up. This early immersion in hands-on learning instilled a “build-it-to-fix-it” mentality and a deep understanding of mechanics and technology.

  Travis Patterson’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to found and run 11 successful companies, while simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in photography and filmmaking. This unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and artistic vision provides a solid foundation for leading the Aqua Aura Project.

  With a diverse background encompassing design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction,Patterson possesses a holistic understanding of the complexities involved in creating a sustainable and innovative yacht.
